I've just driven back from Maynooth to Howth via the M50.

It's a nasty night out there, the rain is pouring down and there's lots of water sitting in pools on the road. There's plenty of muppets out driving too - a perfect recipe for disaster.

So if anyone's travelling any distance tonight or early in the morning take it handy and avoid the muppets.

We've got fog and rain on the M1 (came back from Sheffield this evening), still doesn't stop the nutters though..

Hope you are not refering to me John  as I am just in the door also and cruised home at a nice speed I have to keep testing the Eagle F1's to make sure they do the job in the wet and boy they do, not once did the steering pull when I hit large amounts of surface water. But a few 'Muppets passed by me in heaps of junk driving at mad speeds in cars I know couldn't stop in the dry never mind the wet.

Same as you saw, there was some ropey mailto:cr@p - cr@p on the roads being driven at the limit that made me sit up and take notice

Just on the door, and it's the same in the west.  Rain is bucketing down.  Tyres are keeping very good grip, though!

I drove back from Malahide on the M50 tonight and I have to say the conditions are bad. That road holds a serious amount of water.
