I had a cabrio a years back (XR3i) and the only company that would quote was at the time PMPA, now known as AXA. Dont know if anyone else in the insurance game has joined the party. I'd like to know just for the craic how much it is to insure an E36 Conv. I've always had a thing for them as well...

As Mac was saying, Axa used to be the only people who would
cover you, I don't know if this has changed since.

This is going back a few years though as I went from the E36
Coupé to the E36 convertible in 2000 and as I remember there
wasn't that much of a loading for the lack of roof, it did have the
factory fit hard-top though and I was asked as much!

I am sure St Pauls would. They insured me on an Elise.

A couple of years ago the e30 320i conv was roughly the same as the e36 326i coupe I had at the time.  I think AXA were the company, but I think the policy I transferred from the e36 was with them already when I got the e30.
