I have just bought a used Z3 (T reg) and have discovered that there is quite a bad "blind spot" between what the wing mirror shows and what I can see by turning my head when the roof is up. I have spoken to BMW and they do not produce a wide angle wing mirror and have never heard of this being a problem. Of course this may be the result of my driving position but I wondered if anyone else encountered this problem, and if they did, how they solved it. I suppose I could just go and buy a small convex stick-on mirror but I thought I'd check first if anyone had a better solution.

Thanks.

My E34 is the same, recall my dad's E36 also being the same. I reckon this is why you same BMWs cutting people up on motorways, drivers just cant see enough of whats going on behind them.

I also find this a problem with my E36, but then, who pulls out into a different lane without looking over their shoulder? I never rely on my mirrors alone.
