I have read a few accidents from members here and on S14.net about the road being at fault in accidents...some with a film of diesel/oil/other and others without explanation and put it down to just bad luck....makes you think!!

We all know what the problem is, and the answer is ----put up a Speed Cam---- just like the Council did in the programme after dozens of accidents (none before the resurfacing) their highways NO brainers were not caperble of adding 2+2.

Where were the CRIME scene reports from the so called professionals???---it took a friend of the dead man to sort out WHY?????? and the council dismissed any liability--while removing the cause of the death.

Solution------Each highways dept boss IS responsable legally for a death caused by inferior matierials or contractor works, automatic manslaughter charge----this will ensure that the casual approach to spending only 45% of the money they are given is changed to 100%, and ALL works are supervised. The Public Must SUE every council for negligence when accidents caused by them, and will focus their Insurance companies to bring pressure on the council.
