Hello everyone I’m thinking of converting my old E28 M535i into a track car (don’t want to risk my M5) anyway I’ve got a dogleg box I’m going to fit as its an auto at the moment, while I’ve got the flywheel sitting around I thought about lightening it what I want to know is where and how much material to remove without weakening it, I have access to a lathe at work.

Also any tips on uprating the M30 six would be greatly appreciated cam’s headwork etc
