This has been glowing happily for a while now. And only 1 green service light is on, despite a re-set and oil change 500 miles ago.

ISTR the circuit board goes bad, can anyone let me know what the fix is?

Thanks

Charles, It might not have been reset properly even
though it has been serviced... the inspection lights
work on a different timescale.

Besides the fuse box - take the top off the
'diagnostics port'

You need to short pins 7 and 19 (gnd) with a piece of
wire (best for it to have a in-line fuse)

Turn the igniton to the 2nd position and wait for few
secs (5-6 for oil 10-12 for inspection) until the lights
reset, then you are done. DON'T START THE CAR
until you have removed the wire.

If you still have problems it most likely will be the SI
board batteries. These can be replaced easy
enough as well.

Dave,

Sorry to be dim, but which pins? On the ECU behind the glovebox?

Right Mr 'Dim',

The black plastic, thing, with a screw top that's under
the bonnet, next to the fuse box (thats the thing with a
clear lid with nice coloured plastic things inside it) on
the drivers side.

I see the 'Dark Side' is taking ever increasing hold
on you... you must use the force and resist.

Thanks, I'll get my copper wire out this week-end.

The force is strong on the dark side....
