You're joking.. that'd be a great shame.. I'll post sth to the SS-R site tho I think the price is putting some off even tho it's a full day and pretty quiet.

2 things, firstly i'm in preston on business and secondly, the car will be mapped on 18/05 and don't want to track it till it's done.

i hope he does not cancel.

my next KH day is 18/05

Steve - basically 30 cars or so on track and no more so plenty of space, open pit lane, fresh new tarmac, size is somewhere in between knockers and the last layout at Crail. Aim is to not attract the hot hatch brigade with a big focus on safe driving and no slicks etc allowed.

If you can make it then that'd be great. But you need to email/book in next 24 hours before they cancel. They were short 8 places as of yesterday.

Me and James took a look at this place a wee bit ago. Track condition was not quite KH standards but a good step ahead of Crail. They seemed to be aiming more at the corporate market (they hosted a Scottish VW Touareg launch there) and prices were steep i.e. comparable to KH...

Think there were also tyre restrictions and perhaps full race-prepped track car restrictions too...

Was this before or after the re-surface Dunc..? apparently it's pretty smooth virgin black top now.. if it's smooth enough for bikers then I reckon we'll be fine.

Cost wise is a bit south of the border agreed but then Willie doesn't pay to have proper martials on hand and the tarmac is frankly lousy.

KH is getting dearer by the year as well know.

Looking forward to the change of layout and soem TVR baiting..

Cool, see you guy tomorrow.

Had a bit of an eventful day at KH today. I'm down on power, hopefully just dirty/bad fuel. I broke my front splitter on a cone

Willie Robertson from Crail was there and punctured a tyre on his GT3 RS after an airborne moment. Car of the day was 360 CS

Nice to see 3 cars I knew about

Paul your Radical sounds brill, just caught enough to see you spin (on purpose at the bend where the exit gate was) Far more controlled than the Alfa who decided to go straight on into the field at the same corner (so much for brakes !)

Jon yours sounded good out of the bends as well (heard you had another Hawthorn moment but not as serious !)

Steve you weren't squeelling as much as the others ! so those 19's must have some grip

Glad you all had fun

Download worked a treat on that last one Steve. cheers m8.. will splice with my own footage and send to Stephen.

I def need more front grip for the fast sweepers but I was outbraking everything bar the rad on the day and scalped a Chimera and a 993 Carrera too boot.. job done..

Beemers rocked East Fortune that day.. Steve's oil burner very impressive between corners..

m8 so did the M on full chat.. those Chimeras lack a real top end to wail proper.. sounds greta on the road tho.

Rad sounded lovely - as those bikey engine things go... onl;y going to get quicker as Paul learns its limits.. the only car I was worried about in my mirrors - that and Steve's diesel monster of course..

Went out with Rog (aka Admiral) and the devil posessed me - lap times dropped 5 secs a lap and then I overcooked it twice.. exuberant throttle being the culprit.. no excuses.Pushing harder than I woudl normally but the run offs were gr8 so it was good opp.. only light damage to front splitter.

Great day.. lovely track.. beautiful weather.. can't ask for more.

Stickies would have been better as I was washing out a bit on turn in which led to both my spins....

You to Paul.. Rad was very cool.. especially once you got the throttle sorted.. banzai is the word the word that comes to mind..

But will our front splitters take the abuse Paul.... not for me.. will get the wee car checked over first... maybe next month's Hot Marques tho.

Got 3 bodyshops quoting 8LUR in next 24 hours.. costs will dictate my next outing.. but June 25th on regardless.... for I will have satisfaction...

Steve - you're gonan have a great battle against Yoshi at Crail - by then he'll be running trick suspensioon, diff and 450bhp..let the battle of the black behemoths commence.. Germany v Japan... coooooool.

Me - well I'll be going to hunt Donato and his ultra cool RX7 amongst other things..

Starting to worry about the surface at Crail now  Did minimal damage to my tyres on the surface at East Fortune whereas previously Crail has been known to chew tyres

Aye - EF a cracking track, I'm sure Javelin would run a day for us and MMC would give us permission but we'd struggle for numbers and cost perhaps too high for some palettes.. but for the money Crail is still a good giggle... either that or you and Yosh short at Knockers but that's a technical circuit and he knows/drives it very well whereas it'll be a level playing field at Crail.

Me - that smooth, nae virginal, black top was worth every pound!!

What I'm going to do now is book the bodyshop straight after a track day.. just in case. I have a number of a great guy if you need any blemish removal.

Good to see you there Malc, pity you couldn't get into the pits as I have quite a few times where the PAX seat was free as Yoshi was feeling ill after the second stint in 8LUR....

Steve - Just watched your big movie again. Some nice shots of 8LUR pulling away.. I'm just glad you didn't have paddle changes..

I see that black Caterham and red Alfa Junior were holding you up as well.. not sure if it was inexperience or perhaps they just didn't like our German road cars poo-pooing their party... for about 2-3 laps I lost loads of time because of them - that Caterham wouldn't budge over on the straights.. funny as he was trying, as we all saw, when he spun out at the hairpin.. (not that I'd ever do such a thing).

Took me a while to get into a flow and probably shaved about 5-10 secs off my times by the avo.. great day.. great fun. Only then did I overstep the boundaries on the tyres. Perhaps I shoudl have played with pressures byt the B'stones just washed out a bit early in places. Was getting no more than 106 on the straights with Yosh in pax.. a 17 stone weight penalty made for about 10-15 mph deficit on the straight aways....

Was impressed when you rolled out your good wheels for the event.. but can be an expensive way to do it.. I'd buy a set of spares for track if you're going to do it reguarly.

Don't think so Tob - got it on film - they'll have been the Elises I was catching routinely then... They were being driven (how can I put it) 'conservatively' and really slow straight line.. Yosh and Rog will confirm.

By the avo 8LUR probably 2nd or 3rd fastest car on the day - can't take the credit - it's all her... Was a lot of slower cars (particuarly the Alfisti, Caterhams and 2CV) so you tended to bunch up as there we were only allowed to overtake on the straights and not under braking - which is a pity as 8LUR was braking nicely.

Paul only really fast car on the day and you could tell he was still learning with her.. Also a Pulsar GTI-R and a Clio Sport that were none too shabby and Neil Menzies in his Chimera was pretty fast in small stints but he was never out long enough to follow properly. 911 was being driven slow - which was a pity!

You'd have gutted most of the pack in your project M3 Tob.

Aye Paul - if Tut and Co. go then we'll see some proper fast Elises.. not the granny drivers we saw..

Colin is talking about a sports car event and I suggested he get good support from the Lotus, TVR and POrsche boys to ensure good numbers and then bring in some ad hoc stuff. Should be good.

I'm still mulling over the 323 Turbo
