Well goldy he's done it again, so here you are!!!!Why can't we have a thread for drivel when we have to put up with pages of ranting about Rover or the Election.

This time it was Niggles, Wendy, I saw him lurking anonymousely earlier on this morning.

And yes, I agree with you entirely, if ranting is allowed then surely a bit of silliness should be too. I guess some people don't appreciate a bit of fun.

Go Wendy, Go Ally, lets have a revolution for the raving loony threads, we're not hurting anyone so why keep locking them!!!!!!

Wendy will be back later, computer blew a fuse, getting it sorted. Once we have two pooters again "it'll be fun, fun, fun till the moddys lock the thread down again" (to the tune of Carpenters Fun Fun Fun)

Wendy has a PM..when her poot decides to behave itself...I know that feeling all too well, pooters should be supplied with a hammer incase such occasions arise.

Today started OK but has slipped downhill ever since. Oh well, not to worry, at least my new digital cordless phones came this morning...can't plug the blighters in for 16 hours though while they charge up...

Bespectacled mouse says: 'Mouse over me hee hee, and watch my brain grow!'

Bill Oddie caught this rare image of the nocturnal nonymouse in it's natural habitat (in front of the pooter with a cuppa)

PS: Should we all have nicknames which end in rider / ryder to be eligible for these Nonythreads and cause dizzy spells for the 'gyrators?

It's gonna be a lonnnng night I can tell

Is York (home of the speedbump) also the home of the YORKIE bar?

Come on, Chris own up, what sort of sites are you REALLY looking up with that anorak-over-monitor arrangement?

York is also home to the IGNORED speedbump too Owen...such as the ones on the road I live in...clever planners up here decided in their infinite wisdom to leave gaps tween the bumps, rather than have a continuous one across the road. The gaps are spaced at the average wheelbase width on 90% of cars/vans, so some drivers ignore them altogether and go belting down the road like lunatics

As for Chris and his monitor habits...words escape me entirely

Yep, infact when you come into York on the train, there used to be a bill-board with a picture of a Yorkie bar on with the 'ie' torn off..
Though what with Terry's closing and Rowntree been taken over by Nestlé some yeas ago - I don't know how long the chocky business will last in York.
There is Cravens as well, just round the corner from me, with a lovely discount shop (as Ally will testify!!)

..lived there for several years, and have seen the smog - not very nice. Especially when you open the door on a morning and the air is thick with the smell of sulphur..

saying all that, I did actully like the place and might have to wander back one day to see if any off it has changed (Albert Park for one).

Sadly I have a bit of a southerner accent, since I lived in the sunny south before I moved up here this January, but I'm sure the lads will show you all the best places and teach you all the lingo you will ever want, Owen. You will, I'm sure get a very warm welcome.

You make a great teacher, Chris..Owen will feel right at home with his Irish accent in Geordieland

Fantastic! I fell about reading that, especially like the translations.

I've been working on the accent after watching re-runs of Alan Partridge and that Geordie mate of his who ran the service station.

Friad I've not got much of an Irish accent meself, as my father is from dahn sarf in Kent and my mother spent a good bit of time there too.

Its a good job I can translate that and know what you actually said then.

Being involved in coach holidays for many years I got to know alot of the regional dialects and was often able to translate from one group of southerners to a group of northerners and vikki verki
