I have a silver 325i 1987 and recently put on a stainless steel Scorpion exhaust which sounds really good. The problem is it looks ugly with the old chrome bumber because it's all hanging out the bottom. I was thinking of getting a new bumber that extends lower which will cover the box but let the pipes poke through. Any ideas where I can get something like this?

the only way's I can think of that could be of help, would be to change the bumpers for a later E30 model, they extend further down the bodywork, but how they fit onto an earlier car I'm not sure. Either that or you go for a bodykit like the early sports, with front and rear extensions and side cill covers.

I have to disagree - I think E30s look really good with chrome bumpers and a Scorpion exhaust ( which is why I am fitting one this coming weekend)

Have you got the rear box at the right height? You should not be able to see very much of it except for the tailpipes, unless of course the rubber bungee thingees have gone soft. If they have, try some new ones.

If all else fails, polish the stainless steel box and make it match the chrome!

Enjoy...
