Sounds good to me Pete.  I trust your PMT will have passed by then (bored with job, bored with forum, bored with life....)

Don't want to turn up at a meet and have you bored by that too

Yeh, that's a good one, was thinking somewhere about Perth myself, that's fairly central for most folks to get to hopefully. The Wheel Inn or the Scone Arms are good for eating too, Scone Arms is better but parking is better at the Wheel Inn.

Can we all meet at football ground again, for those who are from out of area, i seem to remember a split forming in convoy last time.

Anyone from glasgow area going, fancy meeting up at usual places, strathclyde park and then stirling services.

Pete, which road are you taking, Dundee or Coupar Angus? I usually go Coupar Angus. You will likely be going Dundee though, if you are meeting folks @ McDiarmid Park?

The last 2 times we met there go straight past turn off to perth then onto Glasgow road

Down to Roundabout and your there almost

Thought of doing it this way as it turns some heads going up to wheel inn in convoy and only takes 10mins or so

Sorry Pete, me and the family have been invited to friends for lunch on Saturday in Stoney so I'm going to have to pass.

I've also arranged to take the B3.5 for a trip to Perthshire the following weekend before it goes into the bothy for an extended workover.

I need to be at Taymouth before 12 and we're staying overnight there so won't manage another venue.   However, it would be good so see some other BMs at Taymouth.

Yea mine is the top spec one, but believe me this V6 engine is a guzzler, even worse than the 525 (24v) I had, dont know why but it is!.

Plus the 2.5 24v M50 shove's out 192hp, mine is 160odd, work that out, oh sure it's quick off the mark (that's why probably it guzzle's the juice). But it's no where near the same torque/pull the M50 lump has.

ah right yeah the mazda unit, it was rubbish for tuning and consumptioin

the duratec unit was much easier to tune, i got 198.9 Bhp out of mine with a few subtle mods  and it still returned 30+mpg

Yea the Probe's a V6 and yes Pete your right with 162hp which is crap qhen you see the like's of the Bm straight 6 at 192, dont know what went wrong there.

And as for mpg about town I'm getting 20-25 (25 at a push), which is not goos compared to even the 525 24v.

But like I said, the probe move's off the mark pretty dam quick, whereas my last 525 (24v) was quite slow thinking back.

So maybe that has something do with it, I dont know.

Weather been a bit pish today down here, not helped
by the fact I was helping my mate move house then
playing hockey, my back is suffering!

nothing a few lagers won't help soothe.

Will hopefully see you guys tomorrow, a pint for lunch
might solve a multitude of problems!

Buster

It doesn't matter about the condition of the car it's the attending that matters !

Pete will tell you what my 318i looks like (White with rust runs) but it'll get to Perth and Scone when I could be there in the 535 as long as people attend that's the fun part

Get your a**e to Duthie park and have a laugh for the day (unless there are real problems not cosmetic ones then that's a different case all together)

Participate

guys.. just got back from perth.. im seriously dissapointed!!!!!!!!!

i was out the house @ 8 today and spent 3 hours cleaning the car for this meet, took abit too long actually and as i also took a few wrong turnings i ended up getting there just over an hour late.. i text pete (or so i thought) to say that id been polishing the car for hours like a fairy and had lost track of the time but was on my way. so i get there, pull into the car park and not a bmw in sight, i wasnt suprised as i was pretty late and assumed you guys would have gone on to eat or a drive, so thought id call pete and meet up... only problem was when i rang the no. i had i got some random woman and when i asked to speak to pete she said no and hung up! lol! so i well wrote his number down wrong then!!

at this point i was thinking pants (well actually thats not the word but this is a public forum!) i tried connecting to here to see if there was any contact details on the directions post but my mobile was having none of it.. so after driving around the area for close to an hour hoping to see a group of bmw's i gave up and headed back home.

so all i got from today was a 160 mile odd round trip, £30 fuel bill, probably a few more stone chips to add to the collection, oh and of course the joy of getting up at 7.30 on a sunday!

so bloody annoyed with myself right now, for one i should have been there on time, i could have detailed the car at the meet and secondly i cant BELIEVE i couldnt even read a phone no. off a screen correctly!!

on the plus side my sat nav worked ok pete! pmsl

well hope you guys had a good day anyway!

im off to sulk like a child and make mutley noises again... lol

Sorry to hear that mate -we waited around at St Johnstone Car Park until around 12.45 (ish) and then headed onto the Wheel Inn at Scone for food. After that we popped into Scone Palace for some pics, and headed home.
