E36 Evo hydraulic or B&S tappets?

According to TIS, Inspection 1 on my 1998 3.2 E36 M3 requires valve clearance checking.  According to this:

the valvetrain section shows bucket and shim tappets.

But according to the guy about to service my car, I have hydraulic tappets. 

Does anyone know for certain who's right?

100%, without a doubt, most certainly bucket and shim.

No hydraulic nonsence on an Evo engine
