Hi

For the first time since owning it, I've had to try to remove the battery from my 730i. The owners manual blabs on about the battery, but doesn't say WHERE it is.

I seem to remember something about under the back seat.  Still don't know where or how to get at.

Any guidance greatfully appreciated

All the best

Mine was under the back seat. I think you just give the base a tug.

Hmmm ... let me rephrase that.

It sits under the rear seat drivers side (RHD). If you do not have electric single rear seats, then just pull the seat up.

In case of electric rear seats it is more complicated and time consuming.

If you need such info, go to mey website below and check on the site of Joan Evans. There is a good instruction.

Some E32 even have an additional battery in the trunk. But that was optional depending on the items ordered by the first owner. The battery in the trunk is on the side behind the cover for the trunk.

Just pull up the rear seat base, but there's not a lot of room under there, so just watch out when undoing the terminals otherwise you get quite a spectacular fireworks display!!!
