OK...my 635 was sold but now isn't, won't go into details as to why.

Had the car advertised all over the place but no takers.

Don't want to scrap a decent little car but I'm running out of options here. Can't break it here as no facilities.

Does anyone want a 635 CSi to play with, restore or even use for banger racing...(not that the condition is that lousy)?

This car isn't being sold as such, its officially free to good home and whoever wants it can drive it home or trailer it or whatever.

PM me if you have any suggestions or you want any further info on the car.

Ta muchly.

Right....

This car is going to the scrapyard in 1 week if no-one with a trailer or tow rope comes to fetch the damn thing. There is nothing actually wrong with the car, I have seen 4 or 5 yr old cars in far worse condition than this one.

I am very unhappy with being messed about with initially so unless someone comes forward and gets the car, then sorry but its going to be broken up. The car needs £300 spent to get thru MOT which I don't have. The car is able to be driven but I would prefer it wasn't due to the fact its registered as SORN in my name and I don't particulary want any more financial difficulty than I already have.

So, if the car doesn't go in a weeks time, it will be scrapped..end of story.

There is a car delivery company based over here should anyone want to have the car. They specialise in classic car moves, so well experienced and highly recommended. Being an Island firm they also get preferential rates on ferries too, so would probably be able to help in some way to get the car to anyone who wants it. I can supply contact details if anyone wishes.

Like I said, this car WILL drive, I just prefer it not to be driven unless on trade plates as it is registered SORN and has been since June 2002, but since April 2004 in my name and I don't want to end up with a fine. Plus the fact that the car hasn't done more than 20 miles since going into storage and although the engine is sound, there is always a chance of a hose failing or something similar, so towing or trailering is really the best option.

you really should advertise it, anyone want to chip in a pound to cover the costs of an ad in Practical Classics magazine, should cost no more than £20 including a photo? According to them a basket case 635 CSI is worth a grand

you can pay us back when its sold if it makes you feel better

nothing ventured.... yadaa yadaa yadaa

You might get away with using an e24 635 auto on a track Stephen, but it could slow you down a bit....you would spend all day playing with all the gizmo's and gadgets...

One thing mine hasn't got that would hinder any ideas of racing my car Stephen...no traction control...which means you would have to depend on a very sensitive rear end as she does and would step out if really pushed hard enough...Horsey already said a while back that Avon Turbospeed tyres aren't the stickiest in the world...

Well the car was viewed at the weekend.  Due to transport costs however the car remains on my driveway.  The viewer did agree, however, the car is too good to scrap or break and would make a good car with time and not too much money.

Oh well....time is running out for her...will be a great shame if she does go to the great big M25 carpark in the sky.

Good news...at last...

The car has been rehomed and is being collected this weekend.  She will be driven on trade plates to a friend of mine who had expressed interest but just required confirmation of storage facilities, which came through at 3pm this afternoon.

Thanx to everyone who helped rehome her, much appreciated

Yep..she will be fully restored over the winter months ready for the Spring and probably showed once completed.

I know the lad who is taking her on, he also has a twin turbo Supra and he was at a meet back in march for the Supra owners club.  He just needed to ensure that he had space to keep her before taking her on, she will be sharing a garage with the TT Supra and a beautiful E Type Jaguar.

Already done that at 6pm when I logged online.  Only had confirmation at 3pm but couldn't get online until 6pm.  Least it was stated that the car could be sold prior to auction completion due to it being advertised elsewhere.

Spoken to new owner and he is looking forward to starting work to get the car up together...so she will be going this weekend for a new life on the mainland

Alls well, that ends well

The new owner of my car is called Charlie and he has a girlfriend, Milly.  I shall 'introduce' them to this site once everything has been sorted.

I hope you will make them as welcome as you have me over the past months.  They are a nice young couple and will probably ask lots of questions and want lots of advice too.  Charlie has various contacts who can do welding, chroming and leatherwork but every day things he will more than likely ask about.

Watched my old lass trundle down the road this afternoon on her way to a new life.  Slight problems starting due to dead battery but got there in the end.  Good to see her go under her own power though, even if it was a little bit problematic initially.

Charlie and his g/f Milly were happy with her though and I know she will be well cared for too.

Pleased she didn't end up in a scrapyard.
