Can you find the Forth Rail Bridge? The Hawes Inn is beneath the bridge on the South Queensferry side of the river

I have been down to the Hawes Inn to confirm the booking for the AGM.

Unfortunately, the Meeting Room is in use during the day and may not be cleared by the time we want it. I will go down early and check its availability.

The arrangements I have made are :-

  • AGM - start 6:00 pm in the Green Section (maybe move to Meeting Room)
  • Meal - from 7:00 pm onwards in the Green Section

Hope to see you there

Neil

cool well can we either convoy down together or car share.

then again if I car shared I would have to come back up the road well past my bed time.  02:30 is far too late for me.

If anybody else is going and coming back up at a decent time then we could share?

no, its 380mb

it was just a dry run to see if the idea was sound, problem is that "logitech studio", the software supplied with the webcam doesnt seem to export standard avi movie files - when i import them into pinnacle studio (my video editing stuff) its all jerky and horrible, so i cant edit it down or resave it into a more compressed format....

I can put it onto a cd if youre really desperate to see it like lol, that overtake was one of the best bits, the other was when i overtook the lorry you see in front of me later on, but the camera slid off the dash   worth it for comedy value alone

next attempt is clearing some of the junk off my laptop, installing pinnacle on there, and recording directly from the cam, i can do all the titles and music, special fx on my desktop

im after an effect like this...

http://www.aqualifeleasing.co.uk/images/CheddarBB.mpg - http://www.aqualifeleasing.co.uk/images/CheddarBB.mpg

i need another webcam though, ive already got two laptops! , the plan is to make something like http://www.getawayinstockholm.com - www.getawayinstockholm.com (adhering to the local laws of course ;) ) and have a bumper cam - i figured webcams would be ideal for this purpose, one at the front and one at the back, usb extension leads would be routed and come in through the windows and into the laptops, one on the passenger floor and one on the back seat floor

what do you think?

i know this is well off topic, feel free to move my post

I can put it onto a cd if youre really desperate to see it like lol, that overtake was one of the best bits, the other was when i overtook the lorry you see in front of me later on, but the camera slid off the dash   worth it for comedy value alone

next attempt is clearing some of the junk off my laptop, installing pinnacle on there, and recording directly from the cam, i can do all the titles and music, special fx on my desktop

im after an effect like this...

http://www.aqualifeleasing.co.uk/images/CheddarBB.mpg - http://www.aqualifeleasing.co.uk/images/CheddarBB.mpg

i need another webcam though, ive already got two laptops! , the plan is to make something like http://www.getawayinstockholm.com - www.getawayinstockholm.com (adhering to the local laws of course ;) ) and have a bumper cam - i figured webcams would be ideal for this purpose, one at the front and one at the back, usb extension leads would be routed and come in through the windows and into the laptops, one on the passenger floor and one on the back seat floor

what do you think?

i know this is well off topic, feel free to move my post

sounds cool.  I'm not needing a copy that desparately.  But be very careful if recording a good thrash as you could get into some bother with the filth!  remember the guy who taped himself doing 200mph in the F50?

yeah first time i saw it was on those "police stop" videos, 2 i think it was

the lower you mount the camera to the ground, the quicker the footage will seem, hence me wanting to stick it on the bumper somehow

I'll be heading through from Stirling - could get you at the Stirling services if you like? I will be going a bit early tho' as the committee are having a bit of a banter ahead of the meeting. You could chunter to the Northerners tho' as I think a couple of them are coming down early with Pete in convoy.

Dunc, not sure what the plan is for the AGM, but do you need anything such as a digi projector brought out?

John, I think we're working our way through an agenda led be James. Discussion will be mostly around plans for 2005 and committee roles/structure so I don't think we've got any show & tell stuff to take advantage of a projector. Ta for the thought tho...
