After a week of nearly wetting myself in anticipation I'm pleased to say that I have now dropped a GruppeM filter into the 330. See...

First impressions are, . Not offensive (certainly not as offensive as my VR6 with K&N) at all, but deeply evil between 4,000 rpm and 6,000 rpm. At about 5,500 rpm it seems to let off a wail. Nice. I can see my MPG dropping rapidly as I keep holding in 2nd and then nailing it.

I also managed to get a piece of 60mm alu hosing down from the grill intake to under the GruppeM. Not a direct feed but close enough to the gap at the bottom. Here's how it looks.....

Excuse the crappy Duck Taping. I'm getting a more permenant version made in the next couple of weeks.

I know its all been done before here but next on the list are:

CS Splitters
18" ACS Type III or other
Hamann Black Grill
Eibach Sportline

Finally, subject to further info from the boys at EvoTechnik, one of those Supercharger thingy's when in last year of warranty.

I'll keep you posted. By the way, took me an hour to figure out how to put images into this message. Hope I dont co*k it up...

Yeah, sounds great but Its hard to get a true impression because of the excellent sound deadening. You get a mix of air vent noise and vibration from the noise in the engine. I revved it too much when pulling away from home this morning and set of the alarm in a focus that was parked in front.

As you can imagine, this went down particularly well at 5.30am.

External sound must be brutal. As you know, you dont get much exhaust sound in front of the car unless driving on narrow built up ciry streets. When you really nail it, you can see folk miles away turning round. Drivers of other cars look over before you pass coz they can hear the throb coming.

Whilst this is currently making me piss myself laughin', I am concerned at the unwanted attention. Once again, amazing sound.
