Today I arranged an impromptu cruise from Gaydon to suss out the routes for the Gaydon event. A few phone calls later and 3 of us met and drove the 2 routes with a lunch in the middle. It was like 2 Tuesday night drives joined together.
A thought -------- there are several retired people and those like me who dont work Mondays ---------what about an occasional Monday all day event, initially starting at Gaydon and with a 60 -80 mile drive with a lunch. The name Marise's Monday Midday Meanders -----Oh how trite.
Watch the board for more details.
Did anyone mention sheep?
We were driving down this lane when a a quad biker stopped us and shortly after around the bend we espied a sheep in the road, then another and another and another, in fact several hundred to be precise. Seconds later the cars were surrounded by hundreds of stampeding sheep.
Poor Gary out in his brand new Porsche turbo cabrio couldnt believe it.
When we eventually set off and the amount of cr*p in the road had to be seen to be believed. So a brand new car covered in sheep droppings.
Typical Phil drive I suppose
