No problem on insurance.  No effect on ncb. £50 for me, as window excess... Didn't have a tinted window, but window was chipped, so asked Auto to arrang to have a tinted window for me (matches the Boston Green paintwork).

As to whether this is worth having done, depends on how bad scratches are, and how much it is going to annoy you.  BTW, approx 2 weeks after the window was replaced, a stone was thrown up by a truck and scratched the new window - worse luck!!!

Have just found that my windscreen has aquired some rather unpleasant scratches due to metal part of wiper rubbing on glass. Have now rectified this but wonder is there any substance that can get rid of the scratches or am I stuffed with replacement only option? BTW what does a replacement windscreen go for (with graduated tint).

TIA
