Hi
As a self conffesed nut on classic cars I have owened for the past 5 years a 1992 320i convertible.
My wife recons I have a big problem I pamper the car as if it was a new baby almost to the point of cultism my mates are all the same with thiers . It doesnt play out in the rain its valeted every week checked over and over if we go to an event my nerves start to go. Is it going to make it? is it going to rain? its on classic car insurance I am in the RAC Ive a mobi phone whats the big prob do I need sectioning under the metal health act my wife and my mates wifies say a care in the community home would be best at our age we could start our own club and maybe nip out for a quick pint or three By the way my nocking about car is an aging Fiat Punto it never complains never stops never sees a garage only for an mot service it myself.

Tell me and my mates we are not the only one. Are we????

I'm the same, I do 40,000 miles plus , a year in my vectra, never give it a second thought.

The bm gets a good going over before taking it out to get petrol.

Best Wishes

Nigel

I'm pretty much the same - the nagging from the wife is the same, except I'm not into the classics as such - any car I own has to be very clean - constantly and I like to find out all the bits and pieces I can - I've found the car valuation on top gear website excellent as it tells you how much the options were too!  I even went so far with my 97 318 to buy an original 1997 Sales Brouchure from ebay, just so I knew what the original spec was!

I'm not a concours man - that takes too much dedication and I like driving too much, so think trailering cars is a crime up there with speeding!  but rest assured, you're not the only one
