STOP PRESS

REAL NORTH EAST TYNE/TEES REGIONAL MEETING:

Hi Everyone,

Further to my earlier postings of my intention to set up an active section in the REAL NORTH EAST (Namely the TYNE/TEES Region)  We shall be holding a meeting THIS COMING WEDNESDAY  7th April at 20.00hrs at the Seaton Burn Holiday Inn.   (Off A19 North of Tyne Tunnel)  This meeting will be held jointly with our membership and ex-members of the now disolved BMW Drivers Club.  Anyone interested in the further development of this section of the BMW Car Club (GB) is encouraged to attend.

I am sorry for such short notice but for reasons beyond my control I was unable to announce news of this meeting earlier.  Hope to see as many of you there as possible.

Regards

Richard Betts

God luck Richard, a little out of my area, but nice to see people having a go.

I hope people support you.

Best Wishes

Nigel

It gives me pleasure to report that the first meeting of The Real North East Tyne/Tees region held last night at the Seaton Burn Holiday Inn was a great success and the prognosis for the future looks very promising. A total of nineteen people turned up, almost an equal amount of members from the old drivers club and the BMW Car Club.  We also received seven recorded apologies for absence from people who were unable to come but who wish to give their support and be with us in the future.  Already events are being planned - (keep checking the events section of the forum for iminent plans).  Many thanks to Howard Walker for travelling up from Huddersfield to help answer a few questions and to help us to welcome some of the drivers club members, also thanks to Mick Golightly for representing the drivers club members.  I'm sure everyone present will agree that we have the potential for an excellent local section where we hope to make things happen.  Thanks again to all who turned up and to those who pledged their support.

Best regards

Richard Betts
