Not yet had the pleasure of owning a BMW although searching hard for a 325i or 323i coupe (M to P reg less than 60kmiles). Does anyone have an opinion on which is the better car? I am 35 live near Scarborough and have been quoted £330 fully comp protected bonus. I have 14 years ncb. This was through Direct Line. |

Hey Guys and whats wrong with 'Senior' ..................everyone gets there one day !!! There is only one thing sure in life !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think the mix at club meets and informal pub meets is a great mix, the motors transcend the age gap......

There is a good mix of people at the club meets The club has to cater for both old and young alike, and more senior may have more times on their hands The best ones to attend are the better driving days Hope this helps 27 and in London |

Warning Age-discrimination post... Sorry to drag this back onto a non insurance related topic.. but do any of the (Trying not to cause offence with this) more Youthful members of the Club ever attend the events and such? Just seems that every time i look through the club mag and things it seems to be the more err... "Senior" members of the club present.. Just wondering if were equally represented or just less photogenic ?? |

I was 19 when I got my late M3, payed £1,550 TPFT with £600 comp excess and £400 Theft Excess, standard car, LHD, off streat parking, 2 yrs NCB and a thatcham 1 alarm and immob. That was with BAD London Post code. Renewal went to £1,300. Then it was written off, I made full recovery and NCB, so at 21 with 4yrs NCB (60%) the same people (Sabre Insurance) want £1,600!!!!!!!! TPFT!!!!! Tesco will do it for £1,500 Comp, but with £600 tracker! I now have a quote for a semi-classic policy through Firebond, £1,035 comp, 3000 miles a year Cat 1 alarm, garaged, and they're not bothered about mods!

nice one omi318is sounds like a fun night out racing a marked T5, i raced an unmarked senator and to my surprise it was a big fat police man, he raped me over the bonnet but no prosecution in the end as i begged to keep licence, 3 in the morning 85mph in a 40 limit, whoops.

Greetings one and all! I'm 23, living in Co.Durham, driving an E30 318is which is very nearly bog standard. Paying £910 TPFT, due to racing a (marked) police T5 when I was young(er) and stupid(er). He was still laughing as he was writing the ticket as he'd been following me at 'up to' 90mph for 3 miles. I was driving a Mini. |

Prices are crazy in London, my 89 325i costs £1350 fully comp on my name with endsleigh. I have been insured on BMs since I was 17, and what I don't get is that if the premium is based on the youngest driver, then if the youngest driver (-25) does have any claims then give em some credit for F*** sake its double jeopardy. Ah well my mate will get 5 years NCD in a year so..... |

Paid just over £8000 for it, it's got 72k on the clock full BMWSH and it's in very good condition. When I got it it had just had it's inspection 2 service. Cheers Matt123 |
