For those of you not members of the other club, you may not have heard of the untimely death of Graham Arnold back in November 2003?

He was the mainstay of the BMWDC, and since his death, the club has tried to find a replacement - as best they could for Graham - to take over his position.

They have failed to do so, not least for the huge amount of energy and dedication he gave to the BMWDC.

So it is with great sadness and regret that they are having to close the club....... but have reached an agreement with the BMW Car Club, who will be contacting all BMWDC members offering membership of BMWCC as an alternative.

Lets make them welcome - we all drive the same cars after all!

Through the BMWCC forum, I'll like to thank all those members and staff of the BMWDC who have helped me over the years, with special thanks, and condolences to Margaret Arnold - who was Grahams mainstay!

p.s. before you ask! The Donington show is going to be organised by Total BMW.
Cats know your every thought.

But don't care.

No reason why ALL BMW Enthusiasts cannot get along to-gether, we all have more than one thing in common.Just because some wish to have a Pub meet & chat, doesnt mean other drive skill events will not be of interest, or parts sale and Show n Shine and Concours.Something Can be organised in all Area,s for Most drivers, its Imput of idea,s and Support that is THE Most important subject.ANY Club is as GOOD as its Members.

I bet a lot of them are members of both clubs anyway.

I can't remember the reasons.. it is a long time ago.. but I think Mr Arnold left the BMWCC and decided to form his own organisation.. I could always detect a slight feeling of resentment from some of the older Drivers Club boys, a sort of 'us and them' attitude.. I could never understand why, we always made everyone welcome.. and still do.
