   Hi Nigel, thanks for the reply.
It's interesting to see the Buying a V8 E34 article in the current edition of Total BMW. They seem to think that all 540's come with leather, electric seats, cruise control, airbags etc.
My '93 has no airbag (so I've an Alpina wheel fitted) 
The leather was a cost option, as was the air-con. The seats are non-electric and I don't have cruise.
Like most of the top end models, the standard equipment levels seem to get better as the years go by. I originally wanted a late (95) 540i 6 speed. The few I saw had been snapped up quickly (this was 3 years back) so I settled for the auto.
I miss the confidence of having a clutch and a more direct transmission, but think about the clutch I'm not wearing out in stop-start city driving !!

	Andy, This looks to me like a complete 540 walkover!!!!, at Weston Park.You & Nigel seem to have the Class to yourselves, BUT-- dont count on it .Those ZED Boys are a Coming!!! + half the Central regions E 34 & 39,s Five series.

	Andy One thing is certain - my 540i isn't going to win any concourses. I do a lot of miles and I'm one of these people who prefer to drive the car rather than polish it (I hate polishing). At the moment, it could do with a good clean. I have all of the equipment that you list for later models. The seats also have a dark blue piping on them which was an 'individual' option. As I'm getting maried next year I will probably keep the car for another couple of years but then I fancy an E39 540i. If you are going to Weston Park on the Sunday, I will see you there. B7VP I can bring anything I can fit in the car. If you give me some idea of what you might be interested in, I will bring it if I have it. Regards Nigel
