Hi Guys,

During a moment of boredom yesterday I decided to register the web address M3BMW.co.uk.

I would like to host pictures / information about peoples M cars if any one is interested. If anyone has any other ideas please let me know...

Cheers

James

How about a buying advice section? for all M3's
Maybe we could put the greatest debate's of them all to bed. timing chain, Oil type what cleaning products to use... blah blah blah.

If you need any pics let me know. My M3 is an almost standard 1987 car (Silver)

Thanks for the reply David. That sounds like a good idea.

I will see what information I can find on the web and try to bring it all together to form an "M3 Information resource".

I would like to have pictures of peoples with a little bit of info about the car through to jamesrose@lycos.co.uk it would be much appreciated.

I hope to have the site up and running within a month...

Thanks again

James

Not to put a dampener on it but you won't get any hassle from BMW will you? I know that www.BMWM5.com had a lot of grief - there is some stuff on their site about it. Good luck though, I admire you making the effort to do something like this.

Hi Joseph,

I was thinking about that yesterday. I think their are two ways to approach it. Either write to BMW and tell them I am setting up an enthuiasts site, which will obviously have no connection with BMW etc etc. The second choice would be to put a large disclaimer on the site clearly saying that this is in no way connected to BMW AG, and wait to see what they say !

Im not too sure which approach im going to choose...

I think (touching wood) that they will only have a problem If I try to set up a commercial site of some sort, but as there will be no selling involved hopefully the site should be OK !

Cheers

James
