Been driving my Vert now for just over a week and really love the way it goes, looks, sounds and seats squeak

Anyway, it seems to take quite a while to get temp gauge to half and although heaters work well, they do take a little while to warm up but do blow hot.

Ive noticed while driving fast, the temp gauge drops to just above the blue. I have recently topped up with neat anti freeze and it isnt that cold outside so stuck thermostat? or is this normal for temp to take while to get to half and drop at speeds?

Cheers Lee

I also dont drive fast or make it work hard..............…most the time

hhhmmm, sometimes the beasts take 5 or so minutes to heat up, but the temp gauge should stay bang on centre, maybe you have a sticky thermostat..??? doesn't sound like anything serious

The M52 lump should heat up quickly.

You have described classic symptoms of thermostat failure. Ages to heat up, and temp gauge drops when driving at speed.  Your stat has failed in the open position.

Cheers Andrew. A few people have also said what im thinking so will order stat. Its also very heavy on fuel around the doors obviuosly due to the enrichment not knocking off quickly.

Cheers again Lee
