So you may have heard last night on Top Gear them mentioning the How many left web site.  Mine is one of 434 545i SE Auto's on the road.  Far, far, more exclusive than those 'one at every fish and chip shop' M3 or M5 common cars

My car is one of 12005 2003 Focus Ghia TDCIs left on the road

The more popular the better the car, obviously

How accurate are those figures though, as according to that there are only 13 BMW 520d Auto's , now I don't know about you but I find that a tad hard to believe.

Look at Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera, only 2, however, there are more than 2 RHD cars recently sold or available for sale
 here.

Ah but that is only the serious poverty spec 520D. Not the 520D SE or the 520D M sport.  How many base models are there out there, very few, nobody gets them?  The models sold are 99% SE or M Sports.  There are over 5,500 auto 520D M Sports, and over 13,600 auto 520D SE models, that's more like it.

Spotted a reference to this site somewhere recently (Autocar maybe?) but hadn't followed up on it.  Thanks!

There is definitely a bit of footwork to analyze the numbers, for example there can be slightly different combinations of designation that obscures the totals - a 523i SE auto can show as either a 523i SE Auto or a 523i SE A.

Now: BMW 523i SE '00, 318i SE - e91 '07, 325i Coupe '93.

Prev:
e46 328i SE Touring, 330Ci, 318Ci.
e39 523i SE.
e36 325i Coupe *2, 323i SE, 316iSE.
e30 325iSE 2dr, 320i Conv, 320i 2dr, 316i.

^ Yeah it's not quite foolproof, you need to be almost vauge with what you are looking/searching for as they do describe what some of us may describe as 'the same car' differently.
