I had been thinking for a long time that the front wheels sit too far under the arches on the E39, you can really see it from some angles.

After a lot of debate I finally decided to go ahead & got one side done so far, have attached comparison pics, I took my time as it was also an opportunity to clean & seal the wheels properly, clean & seal the arches, & paint the calipers & hubs.
I went with 15mm Eibachs, I won't be able to do the nearside for another couple of weeks or so, so haven't been able to drive it yet to see if there are any issues with rubbing on the rears, hopefully get away with as it's not lowered.

Needless to say, they look better in real life, the fronts fill the arches much better & car looks to have more of an aggressive stance, even without lowering

Quite a noticeable difference.  How is the handling now?

Are you confident that they won't foul the arches on full suspension travel?

Haven't driven it yet Andrew as have only done one side so far.

I'm not 100% sure if they won't rub on the rear arch but I can just fit 10mm spacers there if that happens.

looks good mate.
not sure about 5 series but a lot of negative things been posted on m3 forums regarding eibach spacers.
seemingly they have been spliting causing wheel nuts to loosen and in some cases the wheel coming off. only read this on e46 m3 tho but maybe worth checking.

Cheers Davy, that's a good heads up. I did hear something before but hopefully nothing will happen, I suspect / hope that might be with more aggressive / track driving,  I'll be keeping a close eye on them though!

Looks much better, and more importantly, I love the new drive that must be the garage you were working on as well.  You must be happy with the outcome.

I should be getting mine started soon, anyway sorry for change of subject.

Just fitted 5mm Eibach spacers to my E36 after the coilovers went on ... seem to be fine, but I actually remembered to get longer wheel bolts to compensate to.

Havent heard that abot Eiback spacers, but might be different for cars with more power.
