Hello all,the diff in my e36 3.0 m3 has started to play a bit open at times recently,im going to change the oil and see what happens from there,is the redline 75w90 the stuff for the job,the local factors stock ls90,is it any good?how much will i need to fill the diff,thanks

Castrol SAF-XJ is what BMW use and recommend is used, you will need about 1.7 litres IIRC.

Out of interest is the E36 M3 diff as noisy and clattery as the E46 one was?  The amount of forum posts about that thing on mtorque was crazy.

i've had 2 e36 m3's in my day and neithe rof them had a noisy diff
