Greetings from the TVR Car Club

We want to throw down the gauntlet for a 3 way indoor karting challenge

TVR  v  BMW v Ferrari

Is the region up for that?

Hi,

I would definitely be up for that !  Have you any ideas as to where this would take place, since the North East region of the BMW Car Club is quite vast.  For instance I am from Nottingham !

Let me know more details and I am sure that we could get enough people to support provided costs weren't too high !

Mark

Hi

I too would be well up for that as well as a member of the North East Region i also live in Nottingham.

Word of waning don't let the person who arranged the January 12th meeting get involved as that person got the phone number for the Ship Inn wrong.

was that you Howard Walker ??????????????????????? LOL

I have been volunteered (!) to co-ordinate the organisation of thie karting for the BMW Car Club.  I'm waiting for confirmation of all the details.  Could all those interested post something here or e-mail me directly at nigelmarston@tinyworld.co.uk so that I can contact you when I know what's what.

As I've done the event previously, I can tell you that Bradford is a small indoor circuit which is good fun.  It feels much faster than it is and is well laid out.  The costs last year was about £35 each for a 2.5 hour endurance race.

Incidentally, if anyone is interested in becoming involved in other BMW Car Club karting events, let me know as I'm putting together a mailing list for future events.  I sorted out 4 teams for the Ferodo Intermarque Karting Challenge at the PF International outdoor circuit last September and we came away with the winners trophy!!

I now have the details of the karting event at Bradford.  I will post them elsewhere in the NE forum entitled karting.

Is a well drilled TVR crew any match for a well oiled BMW team?

I have all 9 drivers/3 teams for this event now. TVR and Ferrari better watch out as we won the Ferodo Intermarque Karting Trophy with similar teams back in February.  I'll publish an article relating to the race in the club magazine after the race.

If anyone wants to be added to the list to be notified of future karting events for the club, please e-mail me at nigelmarston@tinyworld.co.uk
