I was going to post the same but didn't know if the E30 had one (none of mine did) as that's where it is on the the E36 (mines just pushed through one of the plastic bits as most of my underneath was smashed off when I ran over a rogue bumper on the motorway near Tamworth..

Do you have a black ice warning beep/temp gauge on your computer? If so I expect this is what it was.

Only guessing (no idea, first thing that came to mind).
I know I've got an air temp sensor on one side and something on the other.

It lives in the little hole in the front bumper under your fog light or brake cooling duct .

I can't remember but think it's on the driver side above the fog light. If there is a blue connector danglingling around you are at the right place.

hoover to make sure it is the alarm horn that's missing you could just set off the alarm. If you can't hear a horn........

use the code function on the OBC:
ingition ON
press code
key a code in (and remember it)
ignition OFF
Ignition ON --> Code is asked
DON'T key code in
start engine 3x (always ignition OFF inbetween)
horn should go off (if you still have it)

to get rid of code:
ignition ON
key code in and press CODE button
