I made my own tool a few days ago. £2.50 for a thin walled socket then I attacked it with a bench grinder rubbing the life out it. Fitted like a glove.
Best investment ever...

We are told that these are in short supply, but there has been an influx of them on ebay recently... They tend to fetch winning bids well into 3 figures though.

Someone should start making them again!

Actually, the Halfords own brand 'T-Handle Spark Plug Wrench' (blue plastic handle) size 12mm works fine in the E30 M3 engine. 4.99 quid.

Don't fit in the tool kit panel in the boot very well though

But it does fit the sparks plugs and engine.

Can't have everything for a fiver and reassuring to know its available from your local Halfords if you can't find/afford an OEM one.

Obviously bottled out as it didn't approach the 3 figured sum quick enough as the item has now no longer for sale !

or perhaps someone made him a "private" offer he couldn't refuse?

More than likely but its still not playing the game is it ?

I.e starting it at 99p so you don't pay any fees. advertising it to a world wide audience then selling outside Ebay so you still pay F all !

Had dealings with people like that before and find it annoying !

p.s had a bid on it myself so even more annoyed !

rant over! Just the way some people do business i spose , but its not the way i do things

I reserve the right to end the auction at any time as advertised elswhere.

That's another of my favorite lines. Do you want to auction something off or not?

Ebay should not allow people just to stop the auction. If you put something up for auction is should be available till the END of the auction. If you are scared it will not achieve the price you want, put a reserve on it or start the auction high enough!

I try to ignore items with descriptions like this.

The seller of that item was/is Pacer Pete who is to be found on the E30Zone...

He is a nice enough bloke, but is definitely not the sort to be selling something under market value.

He's Hiaboy on hear too I think. Yep, certainly won't sell for anything less than "market" value, but it is possible to deal with him as I believe him to be fair. Although he, like everyone else but probably more so, will try and rape you if you are selling something he wants  He also knows about the history of many E30 M3's out there.
