Just a quick plug for this. Myself and another coupe section member are displaying our cars at the Wembley classic car show and we will be representing the Car club at the same time. If anyone is free and wants to come and visit us, or anyone who is not a member wants to join we would love to see you.

Saturday 6th 10am-5pm and Sunday 7th 10am - 5pm. Location Wembley indoor conference and exibition centre.

Hopefully some of you may be interested as there will be about 300 cars ranging from Ferrari's to Mg's

Hi James, I would if I could but it`s just a tad too far to drive for the day from Manchester.
You will have to let us know how you go on, maybe next time arange to get hold of some flags or banners..? We here in the north west have a collection of stuff we have either bought / I`ve made or have had given to us by the odd BMW Dealer..you`d be suprised at what they throw away.
I remember back to the last few NEC Shows I`ve helped man, we had a Members Z8 on stand several times and I use to stand over it all weekend with the key in my pocket, for the Alarm..when people lean over it or put their hands in..!! I was like a Bull Terrier gaurding his master..!
Have a good one..

Regards
Kev

Thought i would give some feedback.

Myself and Ross really enjoyed ourselfs and made lots of contacts. We represented the club coupe section and had a great location at the entrance exit of halls one and two. We were the only BMW's there other than a racing 323 and M5 touring from the L and C collection. Must of spoken to some 300 people about BMW's each day and gave out about 50 application forms for the club which will probable result in new memberships. There were much older and more valuble cars there, but everyone seemed to like the old sixes. Have a disc with 140 photos on including a 1917 Rolls Royce and the Back to the future Delorian.

Due to the popularity of our stand Race Glaze came up to us and offered to give us some free polish if we displayed there sign and polished our cars with it. We sent them about 10 customers and they repaid us with discounted products. Was a very good fun weekend with lots of car enthusiast from all areas who wanted to chat about cars. Would highly recomend doing a show like this to anyone who is a bit car crazy.

If any of the moderators want to contact me I am happy to send them a copy of the disc.

If anyone wants any further details please reply to the post and i will give a more detailed story.

Hi James, send a copy to the club office with a little write up of what went on, would look good in the mag or newsletter.
As not all members look on the web site.

Also if you plan to do it again next year, advertise it in the mag and maybe some more people will come along and help out.

Regards
Kev

Web dunk, has the disk arrived,

Kevin Royle, I have sent the disk along with a quickly (Badly) written article to the club. If they think it is of any interest you may see it in the next magasine.

Happy Christmas and New Year everyone

James
