Here we go, not the best pics, nor weather but we could wait long enough for that! Just to give the idea, if I had a darker interior the medium tints would have been perfect. |

nice Ally, i think the window tints as they are suit the colour of the car, you don't want it too dark with a subtle colour like that imo

I think that's spot on Ally. Any darker would have been too much.

Cool, I'd love tints but am afraid of the whole gray area with the filth. They look awesome in the sun on the US forums with super bad ass black tints, especially on black or silver cars. Daz |

No problems there Daz, you can go as dark as you like on the rears including rear doors, rear quarters etc, the front doors & windscreen must be no more than 30% tinted, but any decent place will keep you right legally. You should give them a visit, I'd say medium tints on your car would be more than dark enough with your interior etc, would look sweet.
Aha, you must have been on the number 3?

Ally, was that medium tints you got all round? It could be just the angle of the pictures but it looks pretty light for medium film. I've got a light interior too and this is how mine looks with light front and medium rears.
I also noticed that you've got the same problem as me with the tint film not sitting right on the rear screen at the edges where the "dimples" are. Is this what it's going back for as I'd be interested to know what can be done to fix it - probably nothing in my case as it's been on for ages! As for the legality of tints I think our cars come out of the factory with a slight tint already. As soon as any coloured film is put on top I think that takes us past 30%. I got pulled a while back and when they put the light meter on I was letting through just over 50% or 60% (I forget the exact number). I got told to remove them and was given a £60 fine too which was nice. They did say if it was any darker I could have faced a court appearance! Your car still looks good though but some day time pics would be nice for a wee comparison |

It is medium tints indeed Gee, bearing in mind that my interior is almost white. You're bang on about the factory tints, usually around 20% anyway, which only leaves you 5-10% to play with on the fronts, though I have seen a lot of illegal front windows driving around. The front windows have been tinted too, but only ever so slightly & are still legal, he also has another light tint that would make it illegal on the fronts, my original plan was to have medium rear doors & the rear windscreen dark, but I opted for medium on that too in the end. Yep, she's going back to get the dots all sorted out, he explained this was part of the process when I picked the car up, I'm not sure if he heats it up but he said it all gets "pushed in" I also have the get the aerial fitted again too. He'll only need her back for about 15 mins. |
