e30 window motors

   my m3 right hand side window motor packed up a month or so back - got another one off ebay and fitted it, all ok. now that ones stopped working.
where is the limit switch when the window is up or down - is it in the motor or on the gear somewhere?

	88 E30 M3 fast(er than it was, ta Shep and Grant) and a k8 2008 busa...faster still (focus RS gone to good home - but never forgotton, eh Shep)
