Topic: FS - Set of 5 17" Style 5s, good condition with tyres Posted: 30-April-2008 at 02:09 |
Not sure yet mate, need to do some research on what is a reasonable price for them, taking into account the condition, tyres etc. I was just putting out an advance notice to get an idea of interest, and give you guys first option on them once they do become available. Was hoping to have a new set of wheels sorted by now but as usual I've encountered the dreaded timewaster Will post here as soon as there are any updates!

Style 5's look awesome on an e34, especially yours as my mate has just bought a 530 V8 in granite silver with the same alloys on and looks spot on!
|
Yep they're nice wheels, just don't suit the 840 at all IMO -- weird thing is, they're the most expensive wheel option on the E31, even more so than the CSi "throwing stars" and 18" M-Parallels. Personally I think either of the latter two suit the E31's coupe shape much better.

I definately agree with you Paul, my preference being the M-Paras

Cheers Campbell. The car is barely used at the moment, so no danger of the alloys getting damaged or tyres worn. As soon as I sort some replacements they'll be available.

I will probably have a set
of five 17" E31 style 5s available shortly, they are all in good
condition with the exception of the bolts that look a bit scruffy in
places.
Three of them are 8" wide with 235/45 tyres, the other two are 9.5" wide, with
265/40 tyres. All tyres have plenty of life left.
They are 72.6mm centre bore so
will fit E31, E32, E34 and E38 I believe, they won't fit the E39.
Basically I am on the lookout for a set of 18" M-Parallels to fit my 840, and once I do these are up for sale.
Photos to follow, but if anyone has a serious interest in the meantime let me know and I may be able to hurry things along.
Cheers Paul.
