I seem to have H7 55w bulbs in both head light and high beams... is this correct. I want to get brighter bulbs cos the lights are crap..

Any recommendations please..

Mick

Thats correct.
You could get Xenon lights or just uprated bulbs. I recently odered H7 Osram Night Breaker +90% 12v 55w bulbs from www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk (ordered on 19th and arrived on 28th).
I haven't fitted them yet though.

I got a pack of those osrams, they are quite good, also replaced the foglights with funnily enough also are H7's.

30 euro in Naas, for anyone in the area getting them.
E39 Black, DSG off.

xenons and higher power main beams are way forward - i have "philips extreme power" in my mains because the main beams were useless in comparison with the dipped xenons!  ive had great service many times from www.powerbulbs.com

ok going to get Osram or Philips X-Treme.  Dont want to change the lights. Would 80w rally lights in the High beams be too hot for the light units??? (not road legal I know, but I wont be looking at them)

Thanks

Mick

I also read an article about E39 headlights, where some maintenence might help you out also, apparently the reflectors can get dusty after a while & benefit from the lights being taken out, & the reflectors, lenses etc cleaned up
