I have Croft in July but would be interested to know what else is being planned so I can then (hopefully) organise participation in a "driving school" at the Nurburgring.

The 42nd  Better Driving with BMW Course, At THE Nurburgring, will be in the second week of August 04.The 3 Day course on the CLOSED to the Public Ring, with professional Instruction, ensures a safety proceedure programme is followed. What OTHER Course gives you the opportunity to lay a Factory BMW against the Armco Barriers, that are built just for the entrants to try.The cars, maybe a 5 or 7, come up from Munich , and drivers lean the nearside & offside against the armco, to reduce their speed to a Stop,  in a simulated accident for everyday driving. It CAN save YOUR life, It did for ME on the M25!!!.Writeoff  BMW , Walkaway driver.

Have to agree with B7 VP. I have attended the bmw driving school for the last 3 years at the ring .Can only say what a fantastic adrenalin packed challenging experience it really is. The whole meeting is very proffessional, an all round social event. see all you regulars in the Pistenclause.

Wow that is really close to a significant birthday for my better half but if it is the 2nd week of August then that would work. It's probably too early but do you have more precise dates.  Like is it always a set of days like Mon, Tue, Wed ?

You will find that our three established annual trackdays are;
Cadwell in May
Croft in July
Donington in October
with maybe an extra one at the beginning or the end of the season if we can run to it.
I am sorry the dates are vague.. but until the circuits have next years race calendar sorted thats all we have for now.

Hethel is doubtful, seems another days drivers gave a lot of grief!!!!!, and it was said "No More" so enjoy your memories at this moment. The Grapevine says, "Paradise Island" is looking good, Very Good.Perhaps September for a 3 Night/4 Day event, Mountain Course closed for BMW CAR CLUB TOUR !!! anyone got a Map????????

Cadwell Park will normally be held in 1st or Second week of may but in general Circuits will not offer or confirm ANY dates till they have produced their own Calendars early in the year
Ther will be a Nurburgring trip in the Autumn and Hopefully Donnington will be held again in October (CSL day)

Details will no doubt be in the Mag in due course

Hi Guys

The track day at Hethel has been cancelled, I had been in contact with BMW GB to use Rockingham for the 21st Birthday so we are doing a joint thing. It will in princple, be a celebration of the 21st Birthday of the "Classic E30" on 6th March 2004. But we have hired the track for the day so we will be having full, half days and smaller sesions. Costs will be announced ASAP so keep a look out in the Car club mag and hear on the forum. There will static displays of M3 race cars and a Show and Shine for E30s.

Ron

I spoke to Waddo today and am delighted to have (hopefully) nabbed one of the full day places. Of course I will be bringing the M3. Sounds like an awesome day.

Congratulations and many thanks for arranging this.

Are the dates fixed yet for the rest of this year? I know about Croft on July 5 and the Nurburgring, but when are Cadwell and Donington and any others? Many thanks...

Cadwell is 12 May, but I'm not sure when Donington is. Rockingham lived up to my expectation.

So TimRay are you going to Croft...it's a great day.
