Did your insurance not cover the glass without affecting your NCB?

No. I'm with XS Direct so no glass cover or any other benefits. Don't mind the price of the glass. It's the damage to the roof thats really hurting at the moment. I'd love to catch one ot these guys in the act, tie him up and kill him with a blunt spoon.

Just to add to the thieving ******** stories.

A woman who came to look at my e46 bought another one instead. She called me two weeks later to ask if mine was still for sale.

When I asked her why she told me that a few days after buying the other car it was robbed. Apparently she and her family were sitting in her house watching telly one night. The front door was left unlocked (Lots of us have those new front doors with no latch lock on them). Someone simply walked in, took the key from her bag in the hallway, and drove away. Right from under her nose.

Apparently she'd paid €14.5K for the car but got just €13.5K back from the insurance as they considered her car overvalued.
