Are some people having a laugh. a 1987 with 110k miles and has reduced it from 10k to 8.5k! £6k at the most. An evo II is cheaper!

I though this one looked nice

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/97222.htm

If you weant a very expensive E30m3 there's this one!

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/114199.htm

Seems a little bit over priced if you ask me

As i wrote in my last post on the other thread i was testing the water, i have had a price that i would be happy selling it for, so i have dropped the price to match it, and the offers i have already had are not far off. Uwe you have seen my car acouple of times over the last 2-3 years, it may not be to your taste but nothing ever is, but you must agree(proberly not) that there are not many m3's in the uk in the condition and of the spec of my car, i knew there would be a handful of people ready to make comments on the price, but then again there always is...  If your not looking to buy it then the price should not bother you, i'm in no way desperate to sell it, just marketing it alittle better to sell it.

Uwe you are a very clever guy, and know these cars inside out, so in your wisdom what price do you think my car should be up for -  ( fcuking large can of worms now open )

I must come across as a miserable old git. What makes you think it is not to my taste. Except the NOS (and that's only because the car is in such a good nick, would be a shame if it blows up again)) there is nothing wrong with your car. You can always argue about some gauges here and there, but you haven't done anything which can't be reveresed.
I wouldn't say no if somebody is giving me 10k over the value for my car, I just can't understand how you got to that value estimation, that's all.
And I really hope that all the money you spent for blue printing was worth it. Keep in mind you have done only a few thousend miles since....

I didn't realise the car belonged to a forum member.

Darylzimm3, if you get close to what your asking then good for you. My only issue would be that if I was going to pay that ammount for an E30 M3 it would have to be as standard as the day it was made with a book full of service stamps and a stack of recipts. Oh and it would have to be clean enough to eat your dinner off. IMO modifications don't add value to a car, at least not on a car that could be considered a classic and in some cases they actually make it worth less. Also they significantly reduce the number of people who would buy it.

It does look like a very clean car though and I wish you every success in selling it.

as has been said elsewhere, adding up all the invoices dosn't give a value of a car. Even if this car (and i have seen it a few times) was a complete restoration from a bare and stripped shell and with all new parts, it wouldn't be worth more than £16k in my eyes.

As it is £13k max. If someone has offered you more than £15k for it bite their hand off and run!
