 ...

so far so good with folk's comment's (which do mean something to me)

pm9575 ..... that's "new age porn"

my E39 has had to take the back seat the past couple of week's ... not due to my E30 but ...... my wife's car a mitsubishi colt!! i know we don't have another section for showing of other car's (well i think we don't?) but next weekend i'll have to break the rule's and show off the transformation it has gone through let's just say it's looking "BLING TASTIC"  ... this is also down to the fact i have a massive soft spot for Jap car's and any car in my family looking some-what different

Ian, glad to see you finally sorted out that body kit. The front grille suits your car, all looks well put together, which ain't easy to carry off on the e39 without spending Hamann money. I tought this was 5 series porn:

I like it, and I don't usually like moded cars (Especially lowered ones).

Entirely my opinion.....The front mesh grille, I would have lost the same amount on the other side, to balance the access hole for the bonnet catch.  And the interior blue LED's cheapen it, all IMO of course.

It now looks like a very special E39.

yeah the spoiler was a "cast off" from when i replaced the galant one, deffo great car's, i sold mine to go for a VR4 Galant 2.5 twin turbo 4X4 with all the safety spec of EVO's ..... after looking for about 2-3 mth's i started looking at E39's and said that if i found a silver E39 with black leather and in a cared for condition then i'd have that instead

needless to say "I FOUND ONE" far better than i thought i'd find for my cash at the time, i will still have a VR4 some day though

Just had a look at the galant - now that's nice

I've always liked them (and pointed them out to the missus when we pass one - like she's dead interested! ) - so that's where you got the idea about the rear spoiler ?

Fair enough re the exhaust - you've obviously looked into it and chose the right option

I have back lumber in my manual seats, but not leg lumber - and yep your probably right about the sports (or ordered)

ive just had the exhaust custom built and fitted last friday, i thought of dual exit's like i had on my last car (here: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/500686 ) but there's not enough room to have a decent size box on the drivers side so all i'd have got was noise  as for the seat's yip your ..(picky ).. right they are manual leather item's ... and very comfy they are too  think only sport's have the extra leg lumber (unless ordered from new?)

Apart from the dodgy air fresheners - have you thought about dual or quad exhausts ?

And - not being picky about the full elextrics - well I am really - the seats are manual (sorry!!!) - me being picky - you got lumber on them?

Ian, is the sub in a box or is it free air. I can't tell from the picture.

I'm thinking of putting a sub in the same place in mine.

Nice car Ian, nicely done without being too boy racer!

I do like the grille (I'm not one for changing the grille but yours is nice!)

Well done chum!

Mike

Doh - forgot about the bonnet release !!!

Was your steering wheel standard or did you change it ? - I want a multifunction as it didn't come with one

Do you have any recommendations regarding sourcing your bits via the other European EBay sites ?

Sorry to be lazy, but there are some stinkers out there, and any recommendations would be great

i love the front bumper, think it looks really different and cool, tbh i'm not to gone on the rear bumper (reminds me too much of the mk2 mondeo rsap kit).  the galant spolier was a great choice, really blends in.  overall i'm very impressed, looking forward to the silver panels in the seats, should set it off nicely.

the whole in the grille is the arm for opening the bonnet latch, i wouldn't like to guess how much it's cost (so far) ... but i bet my wife know's

most of the extras came via ebay, soursed from Germany, Poland and America

thanks Stephen  it's not that i'm getting to old for mod'n car's ... it's just that it's getting such an expensive hobby, once ive got my E39 to where i'm happy then i'll start on my E30 (maybe that'll be my last modded car?)

Looks nice

Few questions though if I may

Where did you source most of your parts ?

Anyway, what's the bit missing on the left of the front grill ?

And how much have you spent on it !

Personally I'm finding it a bit difficult to mod the inside of mine - I don't know what to fit / change ! - It was easy on the E34 !!!

All I've done is fitted rear cup holders (as my old one had them) and waiting for the 6 cd for the boot (was missing in mine!)

great looking car and a lot of work, admittedly some bits aren't quite to my taste but it's unique, and to modify an e39 and manage to pull it off is an achievement
