All my problems i had was due to the fuel pump! I was told the pump was loud anyway so ignored the buzzing. Finally changed it and it runs perfect and you cant hear the pump at all now. Personally i would change it, i had so much cr4p come out of mine, no wonder i was having issues.

The pump is located infront the nearside rear wheel well.

I have read that post 88 cars only have one fuel pump. Anyone know off the top of their head if the Evo 2 has two pumps(main pump and in-tank pump) or just the one?
My car has quite a noticable hum that I notice while idling and due to the current lack of a stereo (is this hum normal on our old cars - I cant remember?). This comes from what I think is the rear passenger side of the car but I need to investigate. I`m wondering if a pump is dying....
