Neither is half the crap that is getting posted here

With all due respect Pete, if you don't appreciate what is here, why not stick to being a moderator on the opposing side. And before you say that you have friends here and you want to stay in touch, fine but don't be so disrespectful towards people here or what is posted here...afterall, how do you know that some of the stuff you posted in the past wasn't classed as crap by people here but they had the common courtesy to respect your opinion?

One thing about being a moderator is that you respect everything/everyone, you show no bias and even if you feel that something posted is the biggest heap of <edit>drivel</edit> in the world you button your lip unless its breaking the forum rules. Its absolutely no secret that you wanted to be a moderator here and you failed, just cos you are one over the other board doesn't mean you can come over here and throw your weight about.

Apologies to everyone else but its about time Pete that you reined your neck in mate, show a bit more respect and others will show respect to you...its still earned, not a right just cos you are staff on another site.

At the end of the day, you made your choice as to who you were affiliating with....don't come on here and start putting people down cos they don't want to follow your breadcrumb trail to the other site.

..don't sit on the fence Pete, say what you mean. Everyone has a right to their opinion - just as you are, but saying half the posts on here are crap is going a bit too far as well as being un-constructive. How do you know they are? There are always two sides to every story.. Never presume the butler did it till you've read the full book.

Peter you are not a moderator here, so statements like that just prove the point that I made. You throw your weight about here, you are totally stuck into your own self importance...rein it in, you are an ordinary member here, you post crap sometimes....but as I said, those of us with more respect that you have in your little finger, read your opinion and don't disrepect it...even if we do disagree entirely with it.

You haven't shown much, if any loyalty towards Killian or anyone else, so maybe its time you backed off on the holier than thou attitude, cos it ain't wanted here.

@all - Play nice folks...

@Pete - I meant specifically that I choose not to discuss the details online rather than this was an inappropriate thread/forum for the discussion.

Most moderators are fine.

Some, well they're just cynical to the core, don't like to see more posts on one forum than on another and have a habit of sucking up to whatever body they think will be of more direct benefit to them.

They demonstrate that with posts calling half the content of a forum they used to frequent regulary.."crap".

Some people have opinions they'll stand for.  Others, well they just blow with the direction of the wind.  Thats life for you.

If the Cap fits, put it in the boot of the 3-series Cab and you can use it for when the hood is down too.

Furthermore, if half of what is on here is crap, then don't come here.

You have the option of not reading it, surely that would be preferable from what you say?

This whole sorry saga should be buried and I for one would like to see and end to threads that discuss it.  They're not constructive, they don't get anywhere and they only serve to bring down what is the best BMW forum on the internet.

Don't let them do it.  Lock it and let them whinge about everything on their own forum, not this one.

On a brighter note, thank feck my BMW days are numbered.  You visit a forum to exchange views, ask advice, hopefully impart some and get a feeling of community.  You get little of that these days with BMW forums.  Such a shame.

I guess that proves one thing....there are a few here who have the same opinion of you Pete...just took a mere female to have the spherical objects to come out and say it...

As Coasting & I said...and others probably think...if you don't like the content here, don't open the book and read it.

What's on the menu then, carwise?
Aside from sportscars I can't think of many other marques with active forums and clubs and that.

I have always backed this forum since i joined (Look at my post count) and who was it that started selling club forum stickers to promote it (before the sh*t hit the fan)? That will be me then

Its all pot kettle on this subject

Club says one thing, you say another

Grow up the lot of you

How did your meeting go Howard?

Club saying one thing and us saying another is called freedom of speech and democracy Pete.

We choose to back Killian, Howard and the others to the hilt. I dare say your 'boss' on the other side will fill you in with the details of the confidential meeting with Howard...and of course you will believe every word, afterall you have to, otherwise you wouldn't stay a mod for long over there now would you...

Call me cynical but well..looks like you want your cake and eat it too...sorry buddy but as things stand you only stick around if the end result is good for you...the club boss/committee are boosting your sense of self importance now...but make sure you have something to fall back on cos one day they will shake you by the hand and stab you in the back with the other...just as they have with Killian, Howard, Nigel and the rest of the members of this site.

Oh and regarding all the work preparing for Gaydon - can you ask jeff or andrew why 30% or the attendance managed to get in without paying or getting a complimentary pass? Did someone take on too much that they couldn't get the work done?

Given that people here have not got the ability to use club funds to send out letters, nor have we a mag in which we can print blatant lies, what method would you suggest?

I can appreciate that you are being loyal towards the club. Don't be blind though. I put a lot of time and effort into the club, like yourself. However, the carpet was pulled from under my feet without my knowledge. I had to meet jeff twice before he had the guts to tell me. Do not trust them!

Anyhow Im going to lock this thread.
Howard can start a new one with his news.
