Hi, i took my car to a rolling road day today - another car club i am in.  Not had my car on a rolling road beforeand must admit i was pretty excited as my car stood to have the best results between it and what else was there. What happened next -  it wouldnt run on the road.  The car basically didnt like the front wheels not turning - we turned off the abs, turned it on, tried in manual, auto - nothing would work, the car just kept jumping into neutral.

Has anyone experienced this? - is there a way round this, to basically trick the car into allowing the back wheels to drive with the front wheels sitting?

I am keen to take the car back to see what kind of results i can get - if possible.

Hope someone has some sort of experience or knowledge of this!

my car by  the way is an o3 , m3 convertible if thats any help

I asked that because i had trouble with my SMG and all it was was the bonnet was'nt shut properly , did'nt think you could shut the ABS off , i switch the DSC off
when i use it on the track , tomorrow try and drive it with the bonnet up and see what happens ..

Not 100% on your car, but on the e36 SMG if the bonnet was up it would not allow you to put the car into gear. There is good logic behind this though. If you were doing something to the engine while its running with the bonnet up and someone touches the gear stick by accident the car could drive forward and kill you. Figure out where the switch is under the bonnet and press it while the bonnet is open and see if the car will drive.

it will be because the bonnet was not closed.
My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with a girl who saw Ferris pass-out at 31 Flavours last night. I guess it's pretty serious.
