The simplicity of TomTom makes it very user friendly.

We 'rent' them to Car Hire customers and as I'm in Irvine too I could let you have trial.

I find driving around with an Indian tracker sitting on the bonnet works as well and he catches most of the flies before they hit the windscreen so thats a bonus as well.

But if you go into halfrauds they will let you play around with them all before buying one from somewhere else of course

I've used Tom Tom for a number of years.

Started off with Tom Tom V2 on an Ipaq PDA, upgraded immediately to V3 and V5 when they came out.

Currently have a 910 - I'd be lost without it (pun intended).

I would recommend the Tom Tom.

Another vote for TomTom here, I've been using it since TomTom Navigator 3

My boss has just bought a TomTom Go of some sort, he used to have a Garmin and said that it was constantly losing signal and the mapping was woefully out of date even in a major city like Glasgow

Very easy to use & a great tool IMO

I've got TomTom 5, recent upgrade.  Absolutely great when I went to Spain but made me think a bit.

What I thought was all these systems are great when you're away from home but when you're local there's always a better way!
