This is just to gauge opinions really....

My M3 has a cloth interior (motorsport check) and the bolsters are through in the usual places on the drivers seat.

I am in a position to get hides from Rolls-Royce and have them recovered so that it's a half leather interior.

Now I am considering getting the whole lot done, perhaps in two-tone black and grey for example and I'm wondering whether or not this would be de-valueing the car even though the leather will be top quality and done by an RR upholsterer.

What do yowl' think?

If your cloth is the grey tartan check like the Evo2 then I would have the bolsters done in light grey leather if you must have leather, like the evo2, IMHO.

Some would say keep it original and have the cloth bolsters redone in cloth.

Personally I find on a hot day the leather bolsters make your legs hot.

Don't do two tone. Might look flashy in a Z3 but the E30 M3 will look better in just a single colour.
You might need to invest a little more money as the seat bolsters are usually worn a lot. Also that 'strap' type band under the seat is worth haven a look at.
