Is there anything special about the fluid or is it just undiluted normal washer fluid?

I just put normal screen wash in.To me the high intensity gives the screen a good blast at what sounds (could just be my imagination) at a higher pressure.

Some of the BMW have 2 bottles (my E38 has)

One is the normal washer bottle ( fill with water and screenwash mix)

The other bottle is for the "Intensive Cleaning System" which should be filled with intensive cleaning agent available from BMW service.

The intensive cleaning feature is operated by pushing the button in on the end of the wiper switch. This sprays the ICA on the windscreen first, and then performs an automatic wipe or wipes of screen.

It probably does but as I said it just sounds like its pumping at a higher pressure.

the headlamp washers only work once every 15 times (aprox) you wash wipe the windscreen.

The ICS is not a super powerful washing system.

It just pumps a neat ICA (intensive cleaning agent) instead of water/washer fluid mix onto the screen.

Darren,
I think my headlight wipers only work when the headlights are on.

Yes it is (supposed to be) special intensive washer fluid, available only from BMW at great expense! What you do is wait until the dealer has a special offer on an oil service, which includes "Check and replenishment of all fluids" make sure your container is empty, and book it in. Viola! they fill it up for you - but make sure they only use the proper stuff, straight from the bottle, and not diluted. Or of course you could buy some - or just use normal washer stuff (from Halfords) and not dilute it as much!!
Cats know your every thought.

But don't care.
