When I posted my MOT failures a few months ago, a few people warned me of the difficulties in getting the screws holding the front to rear fuel and brake lines out. Attacking the problem yesterday I realised you were right and not even an impact screwdriver would get them out.

However, after some consideration I found a way that was quick easy and seemed foolproof. It worked a treat on every single screw no matter how stuck or damaged it was!

You'll need the following:

- Dremel with heavy duty cutting blades

- 12v impact wrench

- converter and flat head screw bit from impact screw driver

Now in two easy steps:

- With Dremel make a slot in the screw for the screw bit to fit in.

- Put converter with flat head screw bit on impact wrench and remove screw

10 screws out in no time. Guarantied!

Now you can start swearing about the fact that if you want to remove the whole line back to the fuel tank you need to drop the driveshaft and remove to exhaust. BMW design!
Cheers
