I have been informed that I am under this region so I thought I would pop in and say Hi.

Im currently on tenderhooks awaiting a yes or no from Cooper BMW with regard to buying a 318iS coupe in Titanium Silver (Lovely colour).
If all goes well and they say yes then I will be the proud new owner, it will be nice ti finaly own a decnt car after years of buying cheap and cheerfull's and ending up spending a fortune on them trying to keep the thing on the road.

The prospective car is a 318iS as Ive said, its a T reg 1999with just 25000 on the clock, there isnt a mark on this car anywhere that I can see, its totally immaculate. We (my wife and myself) test drove it yesterday and fell in love with it instantly, it felt sure footed and very solid, no rattles anywhere. In sports mode it has a very reasonable amount of grunt which surprised me for a 1.8 engine. My existing car is an Astra GTE 16v (forgive me) and is very quick so I wasnt expecting the BMW to be as quick, in short its not but even so in sports its not exactly what I call shy.

Ive never driven anything quite like this and im seriously hoping we get the finance on it at 12000 quid (scary when youve never spent that much on a car).

Anyway ive browsed this site and have a few questions.

1) is this a proper "owners club"
2) How is it run and where from?
3) Is this a proper BMW recognised club? By that I mean is it supported by BMW themselves?

Sorry for waffling

Mav,
If you want more information I suggest you go to the thumbnail above and click on Regions. This will lead you to a direct link to the organisers of the Wessex region who may not be on the forum currently. The Wessex team are very friendly and will answer you. Did'nt want you to be disillusioned by a 'no reply'. Having said all that I could be totally wrong and you may get loads !!!
Check out the homepage as well for more info, but yes this is the pukka club.
