Keep cleaning until no more dirt comes off. Then add conditioner - you'll be surprised how much the leather can absorb. This will take a few days.

When the leather has had it's fill the cracks will have closed up a lot. Now use the colour wash from Gliptone which will recolour the cracks.

If you have cracks on the back seats the leather must be really dry. normally they're pristeen.

I've just got some Neatsfoot compound which I was hoping would be more effective at feeding the leather, has anyone tried this stuff before? (it is recommended by John G Burns website). I think it contains more oils than the Gliptone conditioner, so might be worth feeding the leather this when it's cleaned up properly. Then the conditioner??

Will take me bl00dy weeks!!!

is this something that is easy to fix?

Mine are also a bit rickety, they feel a bit "loose" for example when you put the seats forward. I think this is due to the wire cables getting worn in places which makes them a bit longer and hence the whole system loose. Not sure how big a job this would be though?

I've got white leather with a few cracks in one of my cars. The cracks are just the raw leather underneath and it behaves just like a chamois leather.... you will never clean it to white again.

You can get white shoe polish in a very handy applicator, desiged for leather, a few wipes of that makes all the cracks disappear like magic.

Failing that a white re-colour kit from Woolies (the leather colour people - not the big shop!) might be good - I've used their black stuff on black leather and it makes things look llike new.
