Paul, any idea on a price 'range' including what you
said above (loom, mapping etc) for the whole deal?

Hi, its gonna be between £550-650ish I would say. Although I could be way out here. It didn't cost me that with mine, but then again, I did the fitting myself. Once we have data and a curve from the AFM for inlet temperature compensation, then a firm price can be given. But it would be cheaper if I can get 50 E30 M3's converted. This may also work on the similar set up of the M635CSi and E28 M5?? Can someone confirm that they too use two crank sensors please?

I will ask Gerry if he could join the forum and post some thoughts of his here too...he will be able to explain things better than me.

There seems to be some worries about insurance and fitting the Unichip affecting the policies.

Dastek say it's upto the owner to disclose the fitment of the Unichip to your insurers. Whether you do or not is upto you, but they do recommend it.

They supported a Mini Cooper in the one make series a couple of years ago, which won the championship. It was Unichipped, some racers objected, it got banned, or points withdrawn, but on appeal, the Unichip was made legal again, and points re-instated.
