'course, it doesn't help when a good 635 with MOT passes-in, unsold, at £255 on the same day . . . Suddenly the market looks less supportive. ;-)

Dare I say -- and it has probably been said before -- but when anyone does find a parts/passing-in vehicle issue on a 6er worth buying, it seems to me a 6 series forum could easily find folks who might buy an item between like-minded individuals and locate it somewhere where it could assist in maintaining the breed (as it were). Just a thought.

I've often thought this same thought. I live in central London with no garage, garden, driveway, or the like so I'm looking for a volunteer!!!

I live on the Isle of Wight, where there is a close DVLA "scrapping yard" close by for the remainders of vehicles. But the trick is it costs £50 to cross to here from the mainland. . . I suppose the ultimate trick would be if everyone didn't want *exactly* the same parts, a vehicle headed for the sad scrapyard, could be bought, parts removed by those who contributed to the buying of it, and then the car delivered to DVLA disposal location. . . .As I say: considering some of these cars are passing in on eBay at prices below £500, it seems silly that two or three people couldn't share the cost, if they wanted different parts.

Again, just a thought.
